A Good place to stay. Free parking and you can park on both sides of the drive. Excellent location. Turn right as you come out of the hotel, then first right and keep walking and there’s the sea. We eat a nice dinner in the Cliffe restaurant positioned at the end of this road, but best to book. You can access the zig zag path and Mermaid Beach just across the road. Turning left you can follow the sea to the quayside and a beach beyond and access the shopping area. We returned via this route. Turning right would allow access past beautiful refurbished seafront buildings, we didn’t have time to explore this side further but will next time. We had a very nice welcome at the b and b. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed for a one night stay. Very good WiFi. It’s a traditional house, the rooms reflect this, but are well kept. We didn’t have breakfast as we left early. There’s a lovely church and garden behind the house. Very good value for money. We will definitely return.

Breakfast was very good. Lots of choice and various price options. Spotlessly clean and also very dog friendly - they love to meet the visiting dogs and I was very impressed that we could also take dogs into breakfast with us instead of having to leave them in the room or the car like at most places. There's a small enclosed garden where dogs can have a run and play with their ball, and a couple of bench tables where we can sit out with a drink or a sandwich. There is even a bar! Fairly well stocked with a good range of drinks. I asked a favour to freeze my freezer blocks and Sharon was only too willing to oblige and even offered to also put my chilled items in the fridge as well overnight. There is a large lounge that has a desk, which was really useful for me to use my laptop without disturbing my partner in the bedroom in the evening. There are also books, and sofas and chairs to relax.

Breakfast was very good and a great selection. The room was ideal for two humans and two dogs - huge bathroom/shower room. Plenty of space in the room. Huge lounge downstairs with a desk and books and view onto the garden. Garden was small but enclosed and great for the dogs. Everything possible was provided: dog bin by the garden, ample parking, extra towel on request, a fan, and enough storage space for a few days although we only stayed one night at a time, on two occasions. The bar was a huge plus! - it is an honesty bar but very well stocked and decked out like a miniature pub. We didn't see Trevor at all but I suspect he was busy cooking the delicious breakfasts and clearing up after. Sharon was very welcoming and helpful, and it really felt like a home-from-home.

Sharon was super communicative, even staying up past the usual hours to accommodate our late arrival and made us feel instantly comfortable. The keys enabled us to come and go as we pleased, the location was perfect to get a good night's sleep in a quieter area, but only 2 minutes walk from the nearest amenities. We also brought our doggy along, which was no problem whatsoever and treated like part of the household, always greeted warmly and we were offered a larger table to give her extra space to lie down and fall asleep at the breakfast table. Oh, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! Thank you so much. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Greeted with a warm welcome, from the moment of arrival till the moment of departure, you feel comfortable and at ease. Situated in a quiet area of Folkestone the location is perfect with everything you want or need only a matter of minutes walk away. The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped and was the rest of the facilities. Breakfast on Sunday morning was excellent with extra coffee and toast readily available. I cannot recommend The Wycliffe enough, a little gem and exceptional value for money.
